The DNA traceability of wood and wood products is a novelty that is here to stay. Along with that technological innovation, new computational tools were needed.
In recent months, our team was challenged to develop a system of computational tools that would allow connecting wood traceability by DNA to the different stages of wood production and, at the same time, complying with the ISO 38200/2018 standard for chain of custody.
Thus, we introduce the evolution of iDNAman for the timber sector: Manejo-Tec* – Bio-Tool’s forest management tool.
Manejo-Tec is a modular system build on renowned tools of high technical and scientific level (R, Perl, Python, LaTeX, MySQL, SHA512 etc.) to help the manager to monitor the production in real time, avoiding losses and increasing yield. Manejo-Tec also has the following advantages:
